Mitchel FlakelarWhat Mitchell Enjoys Most About His Job:

I am a social person who loves a chat and speaking with and meeting new people. Hearing their stories and assisting them during not only tough times but also sharing in the good times.

Our work is also so varied. We are a general rural legal practice which often means that you do a little bit of everything. I often liken our job to a GP. You never know what is going to come through the door. One day you are reviewing and drafting contracts, the next you are working on and appearing in Court, the next you are meeting with clients at their home, in hospital or at the nursing home discussing their needs and requirements.

We also have a great bunch of staff who also make it a pleasure to come to work each and every day.

Hobbies and Interests:

Outside of work, Mitchell enjoys golf, cooking, music, camping and fishing.

Community Involvement:

Mitchell has been involved with the Temora Golf Club from a young age, serving as both a director and secretary and continuing to assist the club in a voluntary capacity.

He was also a member of the South West District Golf Association for over 11 years.

Awards and Recognition:

  • President of the Student Representative Council in Year 12
  • Named Employee of the Year at the Temora Business Enterprise Group Business Awards (2018)

Interesting Fact:

Born and raised in Temora, Mitchell has lived, studied and worked locally his entire life. He values the strong network of family and friends in the region and proudly considers himself a country local.

He admits he’s usually easy to read – whether he’s in a great mood and up for a chat, or having one of those more serious days!
